Cartographic sources: Pirro Ligorio, (1530-1580) (Karrow 51/5, p. 349-358, Meurer p. 185-186). The "Catalogus Auctorum" also mentions Naples maps of Prosper Parisius, Paulus Canius Genuensis 1582 and Collantonius Stigliola.
Remarks: Ligorio was best known as an architect. He was involved in the building of St. Peter's in Rome.
